Important: Please Read Mountain Eco Treks Terms and Conditions Before Booking Your Trip
Mountain Eco Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd is a fully registered and authorized trekking company in Nepal, approved by the Nepal Government Tourism Department. We are a trusted, local provider specializing in trekking, adventure travel, and tours in Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. Our head office is located in Kathmandu. We offer a wide range of tourism-related trips, including Himalayan holidays and exotic destination tours. Before booking your trip with us, please carefully read our terms and conditions.
Down Payment Requirements
A 25% down payment is required in advance to confirm your booking.
30% if booking is made more than 6 weeks before your arrival date.
100% if booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival (please contact us if this causes any issues; we aim to be flexible).

Last-Minute Bookings
We accept last-minute bookings with full payment, made at least 7 days before the tour starts.
Refund Policy
20% deposit is non-refundable in case of trip cancellation for any reason.
Full payment cancellations are subject to the following refund conditions:
50+ days before departure: Deposit retaine 30 days before departure: 50% refund weeks before departure: 75% refund
1 week before departure: No refund (100% cancellation charge applies)
Room Supplement Charges
For trekking packages, lodge rooms and tents are provided on a twin-sharing basis. A single room supplement charge applies if you prefer a single room or tent.
Incomplete Tours
No refunds are provided for unused portions of the tour if you choose to drop out early.
Amendment in Tour Cost
We reserve the right to adjust prices due to factors like exchange rate fluctuations, government actions, or unforeseen circumstances. We strive to maintain the current rate as much as possible.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If we need to cancel your trip due to unforeseen events (e.g., weather, natural disasters, trail conditions, etc.), we will offer an alternative trip of similar value. Refunds will be issued for all payments made, but any additional expenses incurred (e.g., flights, accommodations) will be your responsibility.
Client Responsibility
Your tour guide has full authority during your trip. Any unlawful behavior will result in removal from the tour without a refund.
Impact on Your Journey
Weather and unforeseen conditions in the Himalayas can sometimes cause delays or changes to your itinerary. We will minimize disruptions, but no refunds will be offered due to these factors. Additional expenses, including hotel bills or transportation costs, must be covered by you.
Travel & Medical Insurance
We highly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel and medical insurance, covering issues such as accidents, natural calamities, trip cancellation, and helicopter evacuation.
Tour Amendments
Please inform us in advance if you wish to alter your trekking or tour itinerary. In some cases, changes may be required during the journey due to weather or other conditions.
Personal Belongings
Mountain Eco Treks is not responsible for the loss or damage of your personal belongings, even if carried by porters or vehicles.
Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure all necessary documents (e.g., visas, permits) are submitted on time. We are not liable for delays or issues caused by incomplete paperwork.
Risk & Responsibility
Your safety is our priority, but certain risks are inherent in adventure travel. Delays or changes may occur due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, roadblocks, accidents). Any extra costs incurred are your responsibility.
Flight Delays/Cancellations
Flight delays or cancellations may occur, particularly in regions like Everest (Lukla), Kanchenjunga, Mustang, Dolpa, Simikot, and Jumla. In case of delays, Mountain Eco Treks is not responsible for additional costs. We can arrange alternatives on request, which may involve extra charges.
Age Group
There is no age limit for trekking, but children under 16 years must be accompanied by a guardian or parent. For more challenging treks, elderly participants (60-70 years) should consult their doctor before booking.
Photography
Mountain Eco Treks may use photos of your journey for promotional purposes. By booking, you consent to the use of your images, with or without your permission.
