Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Mountain Eco Treks and transferred to your hotel in the heart of Thamel. After check-in, you’ll receive a comprehensive trek briefing, including maps, safety tips, and an overview of your Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Spend the evening exploring the bustling streets of Kathmandu, vibrant local markets, and authentic Nepali cuisine.
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara along the Trishuli River, passing terraced hillsides, quaint villages, and lush landscapes. Pokhara, known as the “Gateway to the Annapurna region,” offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan range. On arrival, unwind by Phewa Lake and enjoy the sunset reflection of Machhapuchare (Fishtail Peak) and Annapurna South. Pokhara is also a hub for adventure seekers, offering activities like paragliding, boating, and lakeside dining.
Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and continue the journey to Jhinu Danda, passing through the scenic Modi Khola Valley. From here, begin your trek with a steep ascent along stone steps through lush forests and terraced farmlands, eventually reaching Chomrong—the last permanent Gurung village on the Annapurna trekking route. Chomrong rewards trekkers with breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the iconic Machhapuchare (Fishtail Mountain). Along the way, immerse yourself in Gurung culture, experience warm Nepali hospitality at traditional tea houses, and spend the night in Chomrong.
Today’s trek descends to the Chomrong River, crossing a suspension bridge before climbing gradually through Sinuwa. Walk along rhododendron and bamboo forests, enjoying the serenity of the Modi Khola gorge. Arrive at Dovan, a peaceful campsite surrounded by Himalayan peaks and lush valleys. This moderate trek allows you to acclimatize while soaking in the crisp mountain air.
Follow the trail past the Himalaya Hotel and Hinko Cave, trekking through alpine landscapes and avalanche-prone zones. Today’s hike leads to Machhapuchare Base Camp (MBC), where you’ll witness jaw-dropping views of Machhapuchare, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. Enjoy the pristine wilderness, and capture some of the most iconic photographs of your best Machhapuchare Base Camp (MBC),
A short but memorable trek takes you into the Annapurna Sanctuary, the heart of the Annapurna region. Arrive at Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), surrounded by 360-degree panoramic views of towering peaks including Annapurna I (8,091 m). Witness breathtaking glaciers, moraine landscapes, and prayer flags fluttering in the Himalayan wind. Spend the afternoon exploring the base camp area and soaking in the grandeur of Nepal’s most iconic trekking destination.
Wake early to enjoy a stunning sunrise over Annapurna I. Retrace your steps through alpine meadows and rhododendron forests, descending back to Dovan. This day allows for reflection on your trek’s highlights and provides a comfortable pace to rest and acclimatize further.
Descend through Chomrong and make your way to Jhinu Danda. Reward yourself with a relaxing soak in the natural hot springs beside the Modi River. This rejuvenating experience helps soothe tired muscles while enjoying stunning mountain views. Evening at the teahouse provides a perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow trekkers and share your experiences.
Trek through picturesque villages like Landruk and Tolka, observing terraced farmlands and traditional Gurung and Magar architecture. Enjoy close-up views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. From Dhampus, drive back to Pokhara, where you can relax by Phewa Lake, enjoy lakeside cafes, or explore the vibrant nightlife.
Return to Kathmandu via the scenic Prithvi Highway, passing rivers, forests, and small towns. After hotel transfer, spend your final evening shopping for souvenirs, exploring Thamel’s lively streets, or enjoying a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant.
Your Annapurna Base Camp Trek concludes today. A representative from Mountain Eco Treks will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. Carry unforgettable memories of the majestic Himalayas, traditional Nepali culture, and the adventure of a lifetime.

10th May, 2018
Highly recommend Dev and his crew. Everything was so professional and well-arranged. We were a group of 10 and we were all looked after very well. Everything went smoothly with very little for us to do apart from enjoying the amazing scenery and trekking. We are now planning to do everest base camp trek with the same company soon. So definetly thumbs up from us

Annapurna Base Camp Trek
19th April, 2018
I’ve been visiting Nepal in last november. We were 4 people and did the Annapurna Base Camp trek with Dev’s family and we totally enjoyed it. It was one of the most impressive landscapes that I’ve seen. The trek itself is accessible to almost everyone. It was secure, the guide was ensuring that we were feeling good with the altitude. We always slept in nice places, basic, but comfortable, nice food. Our rythme was respected, we had to walk 6-7 hours a day. Book Dev and Co and be sure to enjoy your time in Nepal

Wonderful experience in the Himalaya!
1st September, 2018
We decided to do the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Mountain Eco Treks & Expedition and it was even much better than we had expected. Our Guide, Dev Lama, was very intensive, very helpful, and got a nice sense of humor so we enjoyed our trekking adventure a lot. Dev also explained a lot about the Nepalese culture, the Himalayas,s and everything we wanted to know, so it was really interesting to experience, besides the fascinating nature we saw. Also, the organization for the permits, the TIMS cards, etc. before the trekking was very easy, because Mountain Eco Treks & Expedition requested this for us. In Conclusion, we are very very happy, that we planned our trip with this organization. It was an amazing experience!

To base camp

I can't recommend this trekking company high enough. Dev our leader had a wealth of knowledge which he happily shared with us. He was able to judge the ability of everyone in the group very quickly and adjust the walk where necessary. A great experience which I'd love to do again.

Annapurna Base Camp - AMAZING LIFETIME EXPERIENCE
8th November, 2018
I got in contact with Dev before leaving for Nepal. He made sure I was well welcomed in Nepal and organized my pick-up arrival with his brother as he was trekking. We then met in Bhaktapur while I was traveling and drank a nice tea together.
He organized my bus tickets to Pokhara from Kathmandu and return which was really helpful. He came to the bus station with me to make sure everything went well. We then met in Pokhara for the trek. Dev was very flexible as I brought along with me two friends who joined the trek. We had the best time with him, his son, and our porter Bijaya. He really created a familial and safe space during the whole trek.
Singing, dancing, and eating well was our daily program along with long hours of walking of course.
I would send all of my friends to Dev. He knows every corner of every tour. Not to mention that he saved people during the trek when a snowstorm hit Deurali and further to ABC. He made sure we were fine all the time.
Thank you so much Dev.

Annapurna Base Camp - wonderful!
7th November, 2018
My friends and I traveled to the Annapurna Base camp (I didn’t quite make it due to the altitude) and we had a wonderful time with Dev, his son, and our porter Bijaya! I highly recommend Dev he created a really lovely atmosphere, we felt like we were with family, and we felt very comfortable and safe throughout the trek. Not to mention that during our trek the weather got quite scary as we got closer to ABC to the point where there was a snowstorm and 8 people got caught in two avalanches. Dev ended up saving these 8 people while also ensuring that we were safe! A very big thanks to Dev and his team
