Great Experience Trekking Near Kathmandu!

9th May, 2017

Me and my friend Rob had a wonderful day trekking and visiting some locations near Kathmandu. We left in the early hours of the morning to catch the sun rising at Nagarkot Hill, which was a beautiful sight to behold. We then hiked the surrounding valley and eventually Dev, our great guide, took us to the Namobuddha Monastery for a look around. Dev was helpful, knowledgeable, humourous, and made sure our experience went without any issues. Highly recommended, hoping to reconnect on my new trip :)

Chinese pilgrims Tsen Tsai (4th Century A.D.), Fa-Hsien (5th Century A.D.), and Hiuen-Tsang(7th Century A.D.) accounted for their travel to Lumbini mentioning that they witness the holy tree, the pond, stupas, and shrines. Hiuen Tsang described the Asoka Pillar with a horse capital on top of it. The Temple of Maya Devi, the mother of Lord Buddha has been recently renovated under the vigilance of UNESCO.
