Great Experience Trekking Near Kathmandu!
Me and my friend Rob had a wonderful day trekking and visiting some locations near Kathmandu. We left in the early hours of the morning to catch the sun rising at Nagarkot Hill, which was a beautiful sight to behold. We then hiked the surrounding valley and eventually Dev, our great guide, took us to the Namobuddha Monastery for a look around. Dev was helpful, knowledgeable, humourous, and made sure our experience went without any issues. Highly recommended, hoping to reconnect on my new trip :)

Trekking near Katmandu with Dev
We spent 3 wonderful days near Kathmandu, during our trekking all the time Dev was our side helping and explaing us custom and culture of fantastic country that is the Nepal!!! Along the way we met awesome people delighted views and tasted the delicious Nepali cousine.... I would like to visit Nepal again and I recommend this company!!! Thank you Dev

Lovely companionship in Jomsom
Dev and I met in Jomsom in Kali Gandaki valley, when I was on my solo-trek there. We came to sit in a tiny restaurant/bar as it started to rain heavily outside. So we started chatting and enjoyed tea after tea. Dev is a really experienced guide and kind person. In the evening we met again for dinner together with his trekking group. It was such a funny, lovely evening together and the girls and guys kept on raving about how lucky they were with Dev as a guide, he couldn't have made any better choice :) I really enjoyed the sympathetic companionship that evening and valued the talk with Dev a lot who explained me about Nepal, its mountains and culture.

Peaceful Trekking with stunning views
Just go with flow. Trekking together with Ram (Owner of Mountain Eco Treks) you will leave Nepal as a friend. It is not only safe it's furthermore fun, full of joy and an authentic Nepal experience. Hiking side by side along some of the remotest path towards or in Himalaya region can literally bringing you back to peace and it's ceasing of your mind when you enjoying an spectacular view at 4800m or even higher altitude, sharing local Dhal Bat (don't dare to taste the real nepaliversion) incl. an Everest Beer and have some nice conversation about the past and the very present is an experience what I enjoying since more then 5 years now bc. of Ram. His more then 13 years lasting guiding experience will lead you to many more better places even of the beaten tracks due his many connections he has with almost everyone in that area plus he with his company takes care of his country thought sponsoring an orphanage in Kathmandu too.

Great experience in Langtang with Dev
We had an excellent experience with Dev as a guide for the Langtang Valley 8 days trek.
He was really nice to us and really attentive to our needs. He adapted well to our pace during the day and kept us motivated the whole trip. We had interesting conversations and he was really professional when we had to handle some small uncomfortable situations. We believe that he has a plus compared to other guides. We definitely recommend him for your trek.

BEST AGENCY if looking to hike Annapurna / Everest Base Camp / Langtang!!!
My friends and I hiked the Annapurna Base Camp trek and really enjoyed our experience. Our guide was super fun and knowledgeable, the logistics were perfectly planned by the agency (accommodation, transport, etc), the price was fair, and we always felt that we could go at our own pace without feeling rushed.
I'm planning to come back again to do Everest Base Camp and will for sure reach out to this agency again.

BEST AGENCY if looking to hike Annapurna / Everest Base Camp / Langtang!!!

A highlight
I really loved my time trekking in Nepal. The mountains are amazing :) We did the Annapurna Circuit, which I would reccomend if you have enough time ;)
Ram is a really nice guide, who loves the mountains. He has a lot of experience in the mountains. And you can have a lot of fun with him :-) We felt safe during our trip! So if you are still looking for another great experience in Nepal, just go for it ! It was definitly the highlight of our time in this amazing country

Anna Purna trail, amazing Nepal!
Completed the Annapurna circuit, an awesome trek in the beautiful mountains of Nepal. The trek takes you up to Throng La pass (5400+mtr) and passes lovely small towns with it's friendly people.
It's not a tough trek and can done by anyone who has a moderate fitness. But, high mountains can be dangerous, prepare yourself! Eating and sleeping was done in several lodges along the trek. Picking the right one was done by our guide and saved us a lot of time and possible wrong choices.
We were guided by Ram Bahadur Tamang, a guy who knows all about the area and Nepal. He took care of us and arranged the whole trip, we only had to enjoy it! Thanks Ram, well done!

My Himalayan Adventures
I first met Dev in 2000 when he was my guide on the Annapurna circuit and subsequently for trekking in the Langtang and Helambu region also. Right from the beginning I found him to be an excellent and funny person to enjoy an adventure with and it was a privilege to spend such a memorable time in his company.
In 2004 I returned to Nepal for trekking to Gokyo in the Everest region. Again, I found Dev to be an excellent host and true professional at all times. During both trips, Dev and his family invited me into their home and I will not forget their kindness and hospitality.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dev and trekking in Nepal to the highest possible degree for anyone who wants to experience great times in a magical place and in the best possible company.

Great travel companion
I’ve been with Ram on the Annapurna circuit over Christmas time this year.
We were a group of friends, quite outdoorsy but not too sure about the Himalayan winter, so we decided to go with a guide. In the end this turned out as a very value-adding idea of doing the trek. Ram is a really fun guy with a tremendous experience in hiking and took care of all organizational stuff so we could focus on enjoying the trek, the nature and simply having a good time.
Of course, going with a guide makes the whole trek less adventurous, but also more enjoyable in the end.
If you decide taking a guide, Ram is a great companion that made our journey a really fun time with a lot of insights into Nepal we wouldn’t have gotten without him.

Dev - a great guide. A trip to the Everest -Gokyo area was very well organized. We slept in nice places, we ate good food. And most importantly - we had a great team :) Everyone was very friendly and very caring.

Thorong La Pass in winter with Ram
We, a group of three, did the Annapurna Circuit (+Poon Hill) in December 2018/January 2019 with Ram as our guide. We had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend doing the trek in winter instead of during the main season. If you can take the cold, you will be rewarded with clear skies and only very few other trekkers sharing the path with you.
Having an experienced guide like Ram with us gave us the peace of mind we needed to do the AC off-season. It also made our experience at the lodges a lot easier and more fun. We especially appreciated his being flexible and knowledgeable enough to change plans on the spot.
I would highly recommend Ram as a guide for any trek in Nepal! He is a very good company and a fun guy who will make your trip more enjoyable and memorable.

Amazing guide !
Dev was a very careful and patient guide. He made sure we were always comfortable during the trek and took care of most of the organization. His knowledge of the trek path and villages along the way improved the experience as we really immersed ourselves into the Annapurna spirit. Dev became a friend. Would 100% recommend this guide either for solo or group treks

I and five other friends emailed the company mountain eco treks to do the Annapurna base camp in October 2022. and we got the answers we wanted as quickly as possible. They were professional the entire time and everything went according to plan. Also, the guide with us on our journey was Bhakta Bahadur Tamang.He was very experienced and trustworthy. He really cared about taking care of us, we felt happy and safe around him. It is very difficult to get a room on the Annapurna trail in the October season as there are many tourists but our guide managed it easily as he is a popular person in that area.
Overall our trip was unforgettable and memorable. We especially want to thank our guide, Bhakta, for taking care of our food, water, and our safety needs.
I leave with a promise to meet again on another adventure

unforgettable trip in the world of mountains!
In the end of September 2018, we (a group of 3 young women) decided to take the opportunity to be in Nepal to do a trip to the Annapurna Basecamp in the heart of the Himalayas.
Well, what shall I say - it became one of the best things I've ever experienced in all my life. Not only that nature is so stunningly beautiful and the atmosphere in the mountains itself is wonderful - but also that we had Dev as our guide made this week of trekking an immense gift to us. I can only highly recommend Dev! If you want, he explains everything about the Napli culture to you, he is always very polite and ready to help you.

Mardi Himal Trek
My husband and I did a private Mardi Himal Trek at the beginning of November. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone. While there are a lot of stairs on the route, the views of Annapurna South, Fishtail, and Mardi were breathtaking and absolutely worth the effort. The teahouses were basic but comfortable for the most part. The dining rooms are heated, but the bedrooms are not (just something to be aware of if you are going in the late fall).
Of course, everyone knows the people you go with are important, too. This was our second time having Ram as a trekking guide (1st time was on the Poon Hill trek some years ago). There's a reason we chose to stick with him again. He's organized, has a good sense of humor, anticipated our needs/wants before we said them, and managed itinerary changes with ease. While Dapak, our porter, spoke limited English, he attempted to engage with us during the evenings at the teahouses, helped us over rough terrain in a few spots, and brought a positive attitude to the trek.
Overall, the trek was amazing and if there weren't so many other incredible places to see in Nepal, I would do this trek again.

Mardi Himal Trek with Ram
My wife and I did the Mardi Himal Trek and it was amazing! The mountains (Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fish Tail), and Mardi) were stunning from the viewpoint, and the sunrise at High Camp was worth every bit of the climb. We extended out trip to Chitwan National Park and were able to see Rhinos in the wild which was amazing!
This was our second trek with Ram as our guide and we can't say enough good things about him and his company! He is very attentive to details and easily adjusted our schedule based on how much ground we could cover each day on the trail.
We are already talking about when we can get back to Nepal and do it all again!

Great mardi himal treat with mountain eco trek
Recently returned home, in November 2022 me and other two friend, we trekked Mardi Himal including a visit to Chitwan with Mr, Ram, which took 09 days.
Mountain Eco Trek and especially Ram our guide, Porter Deepak did a great job! They are very friendly, helpful people with a lot of knowledge. Mountain Eco Trek made all the paperwork very easy, our guide Ram was able to answer our questions in advance during the trip, and he explained a lot about Nepali culture and traditions. On the way to Kalimati during the trek I got a knee problem, but our porter Deepak helped me a lot. He looked after me and gave me some tips and advice on how to move my legs.
We had a great time from start to finish, were very well organized, and had very good food during the trek, the weather was very clear and beautiful while we were there, and we saw many beautiful views of the Himalayas, especially the Fishtail Himalayas and Annapurna. South, Gangapurna and Himchuli Himal are amazing.
If anyone is looking for a holiday in Nepal I can highly recommend Mountain Eco Trek with Mardi Himal Trek to make your holiday enjoyable and memorable.
