Thorong La Pass in winter with Ram
We, a group of three, did the Annapurna Circuit (+Poon Hill) in December 2018/January 2019 with Ram as our guide. We had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend doing the trek in winter instead of during the main season. If you can take the cold, you will be rewarded with clear skies and only very few other trekkers sharing the path with you.
Having an experienced guide like Ram with us gave us the peace of mind we needed to do the AC off-season. It also made our experience at the lodges a lot easier and more fun. We especially appreciated his being flexible and knowledgeable enough to change plans on the spot.
I would highly recommend Ram as a guide for any trek in Nepal! He is a very good company and a fun guy who will make your trip more enjoyable and memorable.

Amazing guide !
Dev was a very careful and patient guide. He made sure we were always comfortable during the trek and took care of most of the organization. His knowledge of the trek path and villages along the way improved the experience as we really immersed ourselves into the Annapurna spirit. Dev became a friend. Would 100% recommend this guide either for solo or group treks

I and five other friends emailed the company mountain eco treks to do the Annapurna base camp in October 2022. and we got the answers we wanted as quickly as possible. They were professional the entire time and everything went according to plan. Also, the guide with us on our journey was Bhakta Bahadur Tamang.He was very experienced and trustworthy. He really cared about taking care of us, we felt happy and safe around him. It is very difficult to get a room on the Annapurna trail in the October season as there are many tourists but our guide managed it easily as he is a popular person in that area.
Overall our trip was unforgettable and memorable. We especially want to thank our guide, Bhakta, for taking care of our food, water, and our safety needs.
I leave with a promise to meet again on another adventure

unforgettable trip in the world of mountains!
In the end of September 2018, we (a group of 3 young women) decided to take the opportunity to be in Nepal to do a trip to the Annapurna Basecamp in the heart of the Himalayas.
Well, what shall I say - it became one of the best things I've ever experienced in all my life. Not only that nature is so stunningly beautiful and the atmosphere in the mountains itself is wonderful - but also that we had Dev as our guide made this week of trekking an immense gift to us. I can only highly recommend Dev! If you want, he explains everything about the Napli culture to you, he is always very polite and ready to help you.

Mardi Himal Trek
My husband and I did a private Mardi Himal Trek at the beginning of November. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone. While there are a lot of stairs on the route, the views of Annapurna South, Fishtail, and Mardi were breathtaking and absolutely worth the effort. The teahouses were basic but comfortable for the most part. The dining rooms are heated, but the bedrooms are not (just something to be aware of if you are going in the late fall).
Of course, everyone knows the people you go with are important, too. This was our second time having Ram as a trekking guide (1st time was on the Poon Hill trek some years ago). There's a reason we chose to stick with him again. He's organized, has a good sense of humor, anticipated our needs/wants before we said them, and managed itinerary changes with ease. While Dapak, our porter, spoke limited English, he attempted to engage with us during the evenings at the teahouses, helped us over rough terrain in a few spots, and brought a positive attitude to the trek.
Overall, the trek was amazing and if there weren't so many other incredible places to see in Nepal, I would do this trek again.

Mardi Himal Trek with Ram
My wife and I did the Mardi Himal Trek and it was amazing! The mountains (Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fish Tail), and Mardi) were stunning from the viewpoint, and the sunrise at High Camp was worth every bit of the climb. We extended out trip to Chitwan National Park and were able to see Rhinos in the wild which was amazing!
This was our second trek with Ram as our guide and we can't say enough good things about him and his company! He is very attentive to details and easily adjusted our schedule based on how much ground we could cover each day on the trail.
We are already talking about when we can get back to Nepal and do it all again!

Great mardi himal treat with mountain eco trek
Recently returned home, in November 2022 me and other two friend, we trekked Mardi Himal including a visit to Chitwan with Mr, Ram, which took 09 days.
Mountain Eco Trek and especially Ram our guide, Porter Deepak did a great job! They are very friendly, helpful people with a lot of knowledge. Mountain Eco Trek made all the paperwork very easy, our guide Ram was able to answer our questions in advance during the trip, and he explained a lot about Nepali culture and traditions. On the way to Kalimati during the trek I got a knee problem, but our porter Deepak helped me a lot. He looked after me and gave me some tips and advice on how to move my legs.
We had a great time from start to finish, were very well organized, and had very good food during the trek, the weather was very clear and beautiful while we were there, and we saw many beautiful views of the Himalayas, especially the Fishtail Himalayas and Annapurna. South, Gangapurna and Himchuli Himal are amazing.
If anyone is looking for a holiday in Nepal I can highly recommend Mountain Eco Trek with Mardi Himal Trek to make your holiday enjoyable and memorable.

Like trekking with friends!
Ram and his crew organized and guided an amazing 3-day walk to Poon Hill last September for me and my girlfriend, a first-time trekker. He was always patient, friendly, and supportive. I'd definitely recommend Ram to take care of any trekking experience in Nepal.

Dev Lama's POON HILL TREK aka "Coca Cola Trek"!
Dev was an amazing guide and has become a great friend. I was in Kathmandu when the Earthquakes of April 2015 occurred and he not only kept us safe, but he made the trip enjoyable even when it was a scary time. Along the way, he made sure we went to both touristy and local places, he found the most authentic food and drinks for us to try which were amazingly tasty, and to top it off he taught us traditional card games that we all still play with our families! He was also a great hiking guide, he maneuvered the schedule to avoid dangerous areas, and he would watch for our cue that we were tiring out to take breaks whenever we needed it without us even having to ask. He is a very gentle and fun guide, excited by the beauty the world has to offer and happy to share this with everyone he comes across! I recommend him whole heartedly to my friends and family whenever they have gone to Nepal and I recommend him to you as well!

Poon Hill Trekking
When I was in Nepal I did a five-day trekking tour to Poon Hill. The nice tour with amazing views was guided by Dev Lama. He is a well-trained guide with a lot of knowledge of Nepali culture, Nepali flora, and fauna, and is always happy to share his knowledge with his guests. He is a good English speaker so it was not a problem to have nice conversations with him.
Dev always tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible. In the evenings we stayed together and had dinner, played cards, or where just talked and enjoyed our time. Even after our tour, Dev took care of us. One of my friends became sick and Dev did not hesitate to help us find a hospital. He also helped us talk to the doctor whose English was not so good.
If I have the possibility to visit Nepal again I will definitely contact Dev as my guide again!

We Took the EBC trek with Ram in June and it was amazing. He was very helpful and responsive when you are planing your trip and everyone knows that the guide on a trip like this can make or break your trek. For our trek we had a guide named Ram and he was amazing. We went during monsoon season so flights were hard to come by but Ram made sure that we got there by dealing with the airlines and the helicopter companies. He monitored us the whole way to make sure the altitude wasn't to much for us and any problem we had he fixed right away. We observed many different guides along the was and we wouldn't trade ram for anything. The views were amazing and Ram could answer any questions we had. I highly recommend Mountain Eco Treks and Expedition for all treks in Nepal and if you do use them ask for RAM!

Annapurna Base Camp - wonderful!
My friends and I traveled to the Annapurna Base camp (I didn’t quite make it due to the altitude) and we had a wonderful time with Dev, his son, and our porter Bijaya! I highly recommend Dev he created a really lovely atmosphere, we felt like we were with family, and we felt very comfortable and safe throughout the trek. Not to mention that during our trek the weather got quite scary as we got closer to ABC to the point where there was a snowstorm and 8 people got caught in two avalanches. Dev ended up saving these 8 people while also ensuring that we were safe! A very big thanks to Dev and his team

Annapurna Base Camp - AMAZING LIFETIME EXPERIENCE
I got in contact with Dev before leaving for Nepal. He made sure I was well welcomed in Nepal and organized my pick-up arrival with his brother as he was trekking. We then met in Bhaktapur while I was traveling and drank a nice tea together.
He organized my bus tickets to Pokhara from Kathmandu and return which was really helpful. He came to the bus station with me to make sure everything went well. We then met in Pokhara for the trek. Dev was very flexible as I brought along with me two friends who joined the trek. We had the best time with him, his son, and our porter Bijaya. He really created a familial and safe space during the whole trek.
Singing, dancing, and eating well was our daily program along with long hours of walking of course.
I would send all of my friends to Dev. He knows every corner of every tour. Not to mention that he saved people during the trek when a snowstorm hit Deurali and further to ABC. He made sure we were fine all the time.

I would like to thank my guide surya and the company mountain eco trek.
Ram was very responsive and able to answer any questions I had before coming to Nepal. He made it very easy for me to book the trek.
We booked a trip to the Manaslu circuit, we were very happy to get a better service than we expected. Our guide Surya Tamang was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the mountains and the local area, and his advice on altitude sickness was very helpful. All our porters were very helpful, and Surya gave us a lot of information about the trek and the mountains during the trek.
He took very good care of us we checked our oxygen level every evening. He monitored our food daily so none of us got sick during the trip, he changed the itinerary according to our needs, which was perfect! He made our trip very easy. I would like to say that if anyone wants to visit Nepal, they should choose Mountain Eco Trek.

Great Trek to EBC and Kathmandu Tour!!!
My wife and I had the pleasure to have Ram guide us up the mountain last summer. We did a 12 day trek. We really didn't have to do much besides hike. Ram arranged the flights, got us to and from the airports in Kathmandu and Lukla, arranged all of the overnight stays, all meals, and had a porter to carry our duffel bags. He made the whole experience as easy as possible for us. We met other couples trekking without guides and they were all exhausted and most of them had bats of food poisoning. Each meal we had Ram would tell us what is safe to eat and what would make us sick so we never had to worry about it. He also introduced us to delicious ra-ra noodles and buffalo momos! He also showed us around Kathmandu for a couple days. I am sure we would not have had nearly as good of a trip if it was not for Ram. Hopefully we can get back to Nepal in the next few years so we can have Ram guide us to Annapurna Base Camp!

Great travel companion
I’ve been with Ram on the Annapurna circuit over Christmas time this year.We were a group of friends, quite outdoorsy but not too sure about the Himalayan winter, so we decided to go with a guide. In the end this turned out as a very value-adding idea of doing the trek. Ram is a really fun guy with a tremendous experience in hiking and took care of all organizational stuff so we could focus on enjoying the trek, the nature and simply having a good time.
Of course, going with a guide makes the whole trek less adventurous, but also more enjoyable in the end.
If you decide taking a guide, Ram is a great companion that made our journey a really fun time with a lot of insights to Nepal we wouldn’t have gotten without him.

Dev went out of his way to help!

I would not go back to Nepal without contacting this company and Dev first. I was only trekking to Namche Bazaar, yet having Dev along was a huge help. Not only did we not get lost, but we also arrived safely. He also went out of his way to help me in a situation that came up. He also took us to see Mt. Everest from the Everest View hotel, which was an out-of-the-way hike. I can honestly say, I would not have made it to Namche Bazaar, and I definitely would not have seen Mt. Everest if Dev had not been along. I would definitely recommend this company, but especially having Dev as your guide.

A great view of Everest
had the chance to do part of the Everest trail, flying into Lukla, an experience in itself. Dev took us on a hike all the way to Namche Bazaar, his knowledge and expertise were invaluable. Trekking in the Himalayas does take some effort, and it is important to give safety due consideration, having Dev leading us was invaluable. My travelling companion did suffer from slight altitude sickness, Dev kept a careful eye on how he was doing, while getting us to our destination.
If you want to see Everest, then I would defiantly recommend Dev.

Ram was our guide when I went for Everest Base Camp hike last year. He won our hearts right on the first day with his hospitality & good sense of humor. Through the hike he kept us all positivity encouraged. He made it a point to introduce us to some locals who had done Everest summit multiple times and always had good local tales to share during our hike.
My daughter & husband went with him last month & experienced the same hospitality.

Hi All,
5 Friends and I spent 2 Weeks Travelling thru the Mountain Paths that took us to Everest Base Camp and surrounding Mountain peaks and Villages and Great Tea Houses to see this part of the World, It was enjoyable and great to be shown and guided by Ram & Neil . I had a memorable adventure that i will not forget and enjoyed their knowledge of their surrounds & Country and finished off with a 5 day visit of Kathmandu. We had great weather on tour and this was shared with great views,friends and food.

Nice people and great experience
Dev was our first contact, extremely polite and diligent. Once in Kathmandu, we met Ram who is Dev's business partner and was our guide during the trek, he is extremely knowledgeable of the circuit and was very helpful during all the trip in Nepal. Both of them kept in touch with us we appreciate the warm welcome and goodbye to Nepal.
Additionally, Babu (i think is spelled like that) was a great porter and very attentive too. So you can be sure by booking with them that you will have a great experience. Regarding the landscape, much more beautiful in person than in photographs. The culture, completely different to what we are used to, and the people, particularly in the mountain area, is really kind.

Everest Base Camp Trekking
Trekking on Everest Base Camp was one of the most adventurous activity we had ever done. 9 days were like a dream. Walking on trails surrounded by breath-taking views of some of the tallest mountains in the world. We made it thru rain, snow, elevation gains, freezing temperatures, and away from the basic necessities !!!!
Many thanks to Ram (our guide) and his team (porters) for keeping us motivated and entertained through out the journey. He is extremely knowledgeable about EBC terrain and the changing weather patterns.
Most importantly, Ram made sure that we ate well, drank water frequently, took timely breaks and were not bothered with elevation sickness. He walked patiently with us at our slow pace His knowledge and experience were key for our successful adventure.
The whole experience was amazing. We are already planning our next trekking adventure with Ram and would recommend the same to everyone.

Thru his proper guidance we had a very safe, memorable trek to EBC. He planned our trek very well. He is caring, has lot of patience and he can get along well with people of any age. Thanks to Ram for excellent communication before and during our trek..
Many thanks to Tika, our assistant guide who is equally caring, worked selflessly from early morning till late night making sure all guests are fed properly and they are comfortable.
Our hard working porters added joy and encouragement to our days.
After the trek delicious home cooked Nepali meal and great hospitality by Ram and his family made the trip extra special.

Best outfitters ever
Best trip outfitters ever. Ram and his team know the mountains and the local tea houses like nobody else. We went with three kids, who came back home with nothing but great memories. Thanks to Ram and team. Ram keeps the door open for communication months in advance to answer any questions, etc. If we get to go to Nepal again, it would be with Ram's company.

Anapurna Circuit in winter (with Ram)
I have been wanting to do the Annapurna Circuit in winter even if it is completely off season. Two friends of mine joined me on this quest and together with Ram, our Guide, we’ve had an amazing experience and saw the Annapurnas probably at the best time of year.
I’ve got to know ram through another friend of mine who highly highly recommended him to me and I didn’t regret this one bit. We’ve planned the trip beforehand (even though we changed some parts spontaneously during the trek) and Ram has helped a lot.
Doing the Annapurna Circuit in winter was the best idea because it was so much more real and authentic. Very few other trekkers have been around at that time, so you really could get a feeling for this vastness of the landscape and those huge mountains. Only downside was the cold. But this you could prepare for and live with.
If you are considering a trek in Nepal - Annapurna Circuit or something different - do consider it doing with Ram. He is a very very good company, totally friendly and funny guy and he will help you have a trip of a lifetime.
