unforgettable trip in the world of mountains!
In the end of September 2018 we (a group of 3 young women) decided to take the opportunity being in Nepal to do a trip to the Annapurna Basecamp in the heart of the Himalaya.
Well, what shall I say - it became one of the best things i've ever experienced in all my life. Not only that the nature is so stunningly beautiful and the atmosphere in the mountains itself is wonderful - but also that we had Dev as our guide made this week of trekking an immense gift to us. I can only highly recommend Dev! If you want, he explains everything about the Napli culture to you, he is always very polite and ready to help you.

Dev Lama's POON HILL TREK aka
Dev was an amazing guide and has become a great friend. I was in Kathmandu when the Earthquakes of April 2015 occurred and he not only kept us safe, but he made the trip enjoyable even when it was a scary time. Along the way, he made sure we went to both touristy and local places, he found the most authentic food and drinks for us to try which were amazingly tasty, and to top it off he taught us traditional card games that we all still play with our families! He was also a great hiking guide, he maneuvered the schedule to avoid dangerous areas, but made sure we still saw amazing sights. He read our group quickly and new what we wanted to see, what rocks we wanted to climb, and would let us know whenever we were near something cool! He was also very considerate and would watch for our cue that we were tiring out to take breaks without us even having to ask. He is a very gentle and fun man, excited by the beauty the world has to offer and happy to share this with everyone he comes across! I have recommended him whole heartedly to my friends and family whenever they have gone to Nepal and I recommend him to you as well!

Unique Experience. You cannot get closer to Nepalese
We had an amazing time in Nepal. Ram, who started with us as a guide and ended as a friend, made everything possible and showed us cultural as well as natural highlights. We would never experience those feelings without a friend like him. Thanks again! We will definitely come back.

Poon Hill Trekking
When I was in Nepal I did a five day trekking-tour to the Poon Hill. The nice tour with amazing views was guided by Dev Lama. He is a well-trained guide with a lot of knowledge of the Nepali culture, the nepali flora and fauna and is always happy to share his knowledge with his guests. He is a good english speaker so it was not a problem to have nice conversations with him.
Dev always tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible. In the evenings we sit together and had dinner, played cards or where just talking and enjoying our time. Even after our tour Dev took care after us. One of my friends became sick and Dev did not hesitate to help us finding a hospital. He also helped us talking to the doctor whos english was not so good.
If I have the possibility to visit Nepal again I will definitely contact Dev as my guide again!

The Greatest Adventure
Dev, was a great guide and guy,we trekked the Annapurna circuit.we felt safe in his hands,his experience just showed.great fun.he was well liked along the way and everyone happy to see him and we were made so welcome.he must of done this trek so many times.he went out of his way to make it most enjoyable.he gave us many tips about trekking and what else to do in Nepal.He showed us around Kathmandu before and after the trek.If you want a no hassle, enjoyable, safe,and hospitable experience you can not go past Dev and his team. Professional, fun, amazing
Ram and Neil led our group of 6 to Everest Base Camp and back safely and we had the time of our lives! Their knowledge of the area and ability to change plans as we needed made our trip smooth, fascinating and down right one of the best treks we have ever done. The guys were fun and joined in the laughs and were able to fix any issues swiftly along the way, including our lost luggage and cancelled flights!
I couldn't recommend this company more highly. You will be in good hands, I will be back for sure!

I want to thank Ram of mountain eco tours for the extra care above and beyond that expected. Our backpacks for the everest base camp were delayed several days and we were 3 days into the trek before they arrived in kathmandu. Ram spent significant time coordinating their delivery to us while on the trek by utilizing porters to get our gear to us. In addition having a local guide with contacts enabled us to exit lukla by helicopter when many other travellers were stranded awaiting the cloud to clear. Some had been waiting several days and had missed their international flights but we were extracted the same day as our scheduled flight at minimal expense. Ram pays close attention to all trekkers and constantly monitors their health and well being. Both Ram and his porters are welcoming and they feel part of our extended trekking family. I have no hesitation in recomnending them to anyone who would like a safe, authentic Nepalese experience.

Great Experience
We had a great time in Nepal and amazing experience!! All the prep and communications were with Dev who is extremely knowledgeable, polite and has lot of patience to answer questions (and I trust me I had a lot of them!). We trekked the Everest Base Camp with Mr. Ram as a guide (Dev’s partner). He was very experienced, knew everyone along the way, he could probably do the trek with his eyes closed and we felt safe and welcome in the places we stayed on this trek. When I got sick, both him and our porter (Sushan) took good care of me.
In addition, after the trek, we visited both Dev’s and Mr. Ram’s families, had homemade Nepalis traditional food – it was delicious! Both kept in touch after the trek till this day.
If you want a no hassle, enjoyable, safe, and hospitable experience you cannot go past Dev and his team!! They are the best; I would highly recommend exploring Nepal and trekking with them. They can find a trek suitable for your needs. Amazing! Thanks for everything, Guys!!

Amazing guide to EBC on a 10 day Trek
In October 2017 we trekked to EBC with Ram as our guide. We met Ram the day before our trek, where he gave us all the information we required before we left for our Lukla flight at 5am the next morning. Ram ensured as a tour group we were organised to ensure we made the first flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Attention to detail was paramount with Ram from the beginning, even advising us to sit on the Left side of the plane for the best views as we fly towards Lukla.
Once we landed in Lukla we took breakfast and as a group began to get to know each other, as for the next 10 days we became a team.
Ram consistently monitored our health throughout the trek to ensure we had the best experience along the journey, from testing spO2 levels to our diet and sleep, this assisted us all having a great trek. The continuous monitoring of us ensured symptoms of Altitude Sickness were dealt with swiftly and appropriately.
We could not have been any happier with Ram and his skills, we look forward to returning to Kathmandu to trek again with Ram in 2020 where we will complete a longer trek. Ram is amazing and highly regarded and anyone that treks with Ram will have an amazing and safe trek!!

Just go with flow. Trekking together with Ram (Owner of Mountain Eco Treks) you will leave Nepal as a friend. It is not only safe it's furthermore fun, full of joy and an authentic Nepal experience. Hiking side by side along some of the remotest path towards or in Himalaya region can literally bringing you back to peace and it's ceasing of your mind when you enjoying an spectacular view at 4800m or even higher altitude, sharing local Dhal Bat (don't dare to taste the real nepaliversion) incl. an Everest Beer and have some nice conversation about the past and the very present is an experience what I enjoying since more then 5 years now bc. of Ram. His more then 13 years lasting guiding experience will lead you to many more better places even of the beaten tracks due his many connections he has with almost everyone in that area plus he with his company takes care of his country thought sponsoring an orphanage in Kathmandu too.

Nepal hiking
Not much words needed to give Dev a review. We still look back at the absolute best guide we have ever had. Dev is a real expert, very gentle and adjusts his pace to the audience in front of him. We did a 5 day eco trekking which we really liked. Without Dev our Nepal experience would not have been such a succes.

A great view of Everest
I had the chance to do part of the Everest trail, flying into Lukla, an experience in itself. Dev took us on a hike all the way to Namche Bazaar, his knowledge and expertise were invaluable. Trekking in the Himalayas does take some effort, and it is important to give safety due consideration, having Dev leading us was invaluable. My travelling companion did suffer from slight altitude sickness, Dev kept a careful eye on how he was doing, while getting us to our destination.
If you want to see Everest, then I would defiantly recommend Dev.

Dev went out of his way to help!
I would not go back to Nepal without contacting this company and Dev first. I was only trekking to Namche Bazaar, yet having Dev along was a huge help. Not only did we not get lost, but we also arrived safely. He also went out of his way to help me in a situation that came up. He also took us to see Mt. Everest from the Everest View hotel, which was an out-of-the-way hike. I can honestly say, I would not have made it to Namche Bazaar, and I definitely would not have seen Mt. Everest if Dev had not been along. I would definitely recommend this company, but especially having Dev as your guide.

Amazing experience

Unforgettable experience!!
Traveling with Dev and his small team was like walking with friends. He is incredibly attentive and generous with his time and effort, and other hikers remarked how family-oriented our group felt. We felt safe the whole way, despite some adverse weather conditions. Sometimes in life, you get very lucky, and with Dev and his team, this was one of those moments. Highly recommended.

EBC trek
My trip to Nepal and the trek to Everest base camp were pretty spontaneous. I got invited to join while I was Indonesia. Not an offer I could say no to. Unfortunately the group I was invited to join ended up not really being my preferred cup of tea. There was a bit of drama. But, thanks to Our guide Dev and his nephew Probin, I was able to focus on how rad they were and how amazing the trek was. By the time we reached base camp and prepared to head back down, Dev and I were the only two left in the group. The others had to head down early due to the affects of altitude. Just a matter of luck really. That was when I really discovered the meaning of “jam jam”. We jam jammed from EBC to Lukla In just a few days! We probably could have placed in the EBC marathon that’s was taking place at the time. We wanted to get down to the others as soon as possible. Dev was a great guide and used solid judgement when it came to pushing limits. He has been trekking the Himalayas since a young kid. He’s very savvy to the whole environment and the tole it can take on an individual. When it comes to locals, and whether or not they actually care about you, he’s one of the good ones. If you find yourself in a predicament that you’re not sure how to solve, he’s the man to help you. He can make things happen if needed.

Ram was very Kind. with the Organisation everything Went pretty smooth. It was easy to Plan and easy to Change things. Also all the Fix Cost we talked about were True and their where no side cost. Except dir the things we talked about up Front. Even when we had some Problems at lukla Airport Ram Made a lot of phone calls and made it possible for us to leave early. So their is nothing Bad i can say. It was very well organisiert, the prices are fair and Ram is Friendly and helps a lot. So i would do Trips with him anytime again and also recomment him to My Friends!

Three passes trek
I loved the three passes trek. Great 18 days with awesome views and nice walks. And ram with his organisation and our guide bakktha did everything to make this trip unforgettable.Planning our trip was easy because email and telephone communication with ram was perfect. He told no lies and talked honestly about the costs and challenges of the trip.
The lodges were as good as possible up there at the trek.
Even when we had problems with our flights to and from lukla because of bad weather or technically problems with the aircraft ram and bakktha did hundreds of phone calls to manage that we didn't lose so much time.I would totally recommend the organisation. They are very nice, honest and speak good english.

Absolute recommendation
Would totally recommend Ram and our tour guide Bakktha to everyone. We did the three passes trek in the Everest region and it could not have been a better experience.
Organization was super smooth with Ram, and you could feel that he really tries to make this a grwat experience for you. For example, when stuck in Lukla due to weather conditions, Ram (and our guide Bakktha) really tried everything in their hands to get us back to Kathmandu fast and spent the whole day basically on the phone. Successful, in the end, and I believe we would have been stuck for another 2-3 days if it was not for them :)
Bakktha was a very kind and helpful guide that enriched our trek with grst organization and a lot of interesting information on the region. And he loves to play cards, which was great for us :)
All in all, I would always organize it again with Ram and Bakktha

Me and my two friends did the Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Eco and had a wonderful time. The arrangements were perfect. The tea lodges that we’re booked for us were comfortable and provided us with tasty and nutritional food. The porters were courteous and helpful. Ram Bahadur Tamang was our guide and he ensured that we were motivated, healthy and cheerful throughout the trek all in all it was a wonderful experience
